Oral Cancer Information
Approximately 36,000 Americans get diagnosed with oral cancer each year. Only half of the 36,000 diagnosed will be alive in the next 5 years after their diagnosis. Cancer of any sort is a serious illness and needs to be diagnosed and treated in it's early stages. Oral cancer can be especially aggressive if untreated early and can spread to other parts of the body such as the lungs or nymph nodes. Unfortunately, once it has spread it is extremely more difficult to treat and could result in death.
