It seems like everyone knows at least one person who has suffered from cancer. An estimated half a million people died from cancer in 2008. The reason for cancer's prevalence is that it can hit almost any spot in your body, and then metastasize and spread to other parts of your body. As you can see, it is necessary to understand cancer so that you can possibly detect it early.
